London 2012 - 3/08/12

Today was a very quiet day as all the Americans spent the day indoors writing and uploading stories to their outlets back home and publications here in London.

Me and James also spent most of the day indoors putting together stories and interviews we had collected over the last couple of days.

Chris Taylor contacted me later in the day and told me he wanted to do a feature film on me and James as British journalists at the Olympics Games which would be broadcast on the BSU campus television and website and would give us a copy for our portfolio. We plan on doing this next week when they've finished editing their current feature films on the Olympics.

James then headed for the ExCel arena for Olympic boxing to try and get some interviews with fans outside and in the arena. I also went out and took Katelynn to the British Museum where we checked out exhibitions on the ancient Olympics and modern Games over the last 100 years. We used this to structure stories on how far the Games have changed and how the current London 2012 Games have been performing to the world.

Below is Katelynn with the Discobolus in the British Museum.

Late on the night James returned after having a great time at the boxing and had arranged an interview with former NBA star Renaldo Lawrence. Interviewing Renaldo will be a great story for us as his son Andrew Lawrence plays for the London 2012 Team GB basketball team.
